
Gurgaon: Be cautious when purchasing alcohol on the internet! Man was scammed out by 2 lakhs at Gurugram
Gurugram News: Gurugram liquor Online Order A fraud case has been exposed in Gurugram which is located close to Delhi in India. A person was believed to have been cheated out of 2 lakh for purchasing liquor on the internet. In this case, police have also filed an instance against unknown fraudsters. Concerning this incident, police have stated that the victim was deceived when he purchased alcohol online and had it delivered to his residence.
Police stated that, as per the complaint Chandrakant Takkar, a resident of Emerald Floor Premier in Sector 65, rang toll-free the phone number Jagdish Wine Shop, which was found via the web. Then there was a discussion between the suspect and the complainant during which he stated in it appears as if he's speaking to a liquor store. The fraudster was then asked to send 50 rupees to be billed.

If the complainant provided his details about his card number to the person who was accused who then cheated his account, the account was fraudulently cheated 191362 rupees. Then however, when he attempted to enter his account number into the account, that number was not accessible. The complainant Chandrakant Takkar stated that after a long waiting time, he failed to deliver the liquor nor reimbursed my money, I called the police.
A case has been registered against the accused
Additionally following the report of the case the FIR was filed against unknown fraudsters within the Cyber Crime Police Station under sections 419 (cheating through impersonation) and 419 (cheating) (cheating) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). In relation to this case the officer who investigated ASI Manjit Dalal said, "We have placed the mobile number that was used in the fraud under surveillance and are conducting an investigation. The suspects will be detained when it is possible."
